I was with them for 20+ years and finally left them in 2021 when they wouldn't offer anything reasonable. These prices are likely just in markets where consumers have choices. Thankfully, many can get home internet from Verizon or T-Mobile now and it is putting pressure on AT&T and cable companies.

Edit: Based on comments so far and Spectrum requirements to enter your exact address in order to see rates, it is possible you might only see listed rates if your address has had Spectrum/Charter service in the past. Actually saw this price via Facebook ad. So, unless FB shares exact address with advertisers, they wouldn't know I had service before. If Spectrum is the only option in your area, no reason for them to offer these rates. This is very address dependent.

Here is a step-by-step playbook to lower your Spectrum rates-
Step 1) On the Spectrum website, plug in your neighbors that are within 2 rows of your immediate vicinity to get the rate sheet.
Make sure you use 1 neighbor with the same street name as yours and 1 neighbor on an adjacent street with a different street name than yours (i.e. the ones opposite and behind your house) to get the lowest rate offered in your neighborhood.
Step 2) Call the Spectrum customer service department and ask for retentions. If the first retentions rep is not able to give you that lowest rate you found, ask for a supervisor.
If supervisor tells you that you do not qualify for the offer since you are on a different street address, insist it is not fair that your neighbor has a lower price even if they are on a different street name because you are literally just opposite/ behind them. Ask the supervisor the rhetorical question if the alternative is to go to AT&T or Verizon for lower price.
A good supervisor will put you on hold and magically return to let you know they have modified your rate to the lowest one you found in your neighbor.
If you get a bad supervisor, hang up and call again.
Step 3) The supervisor will let you know your new promotional rate is good for 1 year. Ask to see if they can extend it to two years especially if your neighbor's offer is good for 2 years. If not, call back before the promotional rate expires 1 year from now to reinstate the same rate.

Otherwise, spectrum loves you for your continuous monthly contributions to their bonuses.
I've been meaning to call back and do the whole retention thing, but I hate dealing with them and now that I know there are new promotions on, it makes sense that now would be a good time to try this.
