At our yard sale, this cooler sat outside in the shade with ice and bottled water in it. By the end of the second day the ice was melted but the water bottles were still cold. I wouldn't expect much more then 36 hours without an ice renewal.
(for those reading this - this is in reference to my above post about adding TP to my cart with the cooler, in order to avoid Wal-Mart's $6.99 charge for a purchase under $35)
I have an ozark trail 26qt that lasts 3+ days if you prechill 24hrs ahead.

It sits in the sun for 6 to 8 hours a day on the beach and on the boat. A bag of ice is usually about half ice, half water by the end of the day.
Being this cheap I also decided to screw a 3 pole fishing rod holder to the front of it...works great and did not puncture the inside.
