I love when people come in to suggest a self-built PC in a pre-built PC deal.
Disclaimer: I'm on a self-built PC, and have only used self-built PC.

You guys are completely ignoring the labor cost/time involved in building a computer and also possible troubleshooting. Also, not everyone is comfortable building a PC however "simple" it is for you.

Besides, even if these PCs use cheap parts, they often perform and last good enough time for an average user.

So please stop suggesting self-built PC as if that's the best option for everyone.

Are you in the US? The parts in this HP unit are low end. Now, if you said you didn't want to or couldn't build your own system I'd say go for it at this price. However, you could easily build a 6600XT/Ryzen 5600 build for cheaper than this with brand name parts, 16gb ram, 500gb/1tb SSD.

Check out buildapcsales on Reddit. Being close to a microcenter is a huge advantage. For example there was just a Ryzen 5600x + motherboard deal for $220 there recently

Well it's just facts really, HP, Dell, etc use poor quality OEM parts. The 3060 in this unit is a single fan, fairly loud, low quality model. The OS comes loaded with bloat(while easy to do a fresh install most buyers who purchase would live with it not knowing and think it's required). Power supplies/mobo/ram/GPU/case are subpar units that buyers would never buy on a shelf.
