You could replace the 3060 with a AMD 6600 for ~$130 less though. But still thats ~$560 total w/o OS and since I picked the cheapest options I'd be not the best parts'

You guys are completely ignoring the labor cost/time involved in building a computer and also possible troubleshooting. Also, not everyone is comfortable building a PC however "simple" it is for you.
Besides, even if these PCs use cheap parts, they often perform and last good enough time for an average user.
So please stop suggesting self-built PC as if that's the best option for everyone.

For starters, with a gaming PC, the GPU is almost always more important than the CPU (within reason). The i5 included here is a decent match with the RTX 3060, and this is probably about as cheap an RTX 3060 system as you can find right now.
Also, as another poster mentioned, "i5" doesn't necessarily mean anything. All else being equal, an i7 will be faster than an i5, but there are different models within the same gen, and everything gets faster on every subsequent gen. Someone can come in and correct me, but I would bet that every 2 or so generations is equal to about a i3 to i5 or i5 to i7 tier jump.

I'm having a very hard time believing you.
I think if a prebuilt is cheaper than you can buy the HW parts individually then thats a fair measure on a good deal for a prebuilt.
Clearly the whole would isn't inclined or apt to DIY PC builds.
The case is 12"D x 13"H x 6"W which leaves little room for a hard disk. Most desktops are much larger.
If you don't need tons of storage the "refurb" 1TB Samsung 870 Evo is a great deal for $65. It is one of the best SATA SSDs you can buy. They are not actually refurb. They are customer returns that were used for about 1 day and can't be sold as new, but are like new with less than 1 TB of writes.

The lowest end 3060 has a TDP of 170W and the i5 is 65W. I just don't see 360W total (80% of 450, optimistically) being ideal for this system, especially since the first thing someone will want is a secondary drive.
Concerns like this are why PC Part Picker should be taken with a grain of salt. They have no clue what they're doing when speccing out power supplies.
