1 tsp of Montreal Steak Seasoning is about 180 mg.

1 tsp of Worcestershire Pub Burger is 55 mg.

So roughly 1/3 as salty.

I've used this seasoning on burgers many times. But my favorite way to use it is as a rub for brisket. You can add it pretty thick for an Umami bomb. MSS is decent for this purpose, too....just apply lighter.

I bought this at least 10 years ago and it's still edible.

If you want to know how long it'll last.

Can anyone speak to how salty this is? Salt is the second ingredient listed, and I don't like over salting anything. McCormick Montreal steak seasoning is a go-to for me, but most seasoning blends I've tried that contain salt have way too much.

Hard pass for me, they have a Worcestershire steak/burger one, but for some reason the flavoring on this "pub" version just isn't good.

This was an easy grab for my next box considering how much I like worcestershire. Seems every time I do S&S now, get a quick error pop up but it still goes through. 🤷🏼

So, the serving size shows 95mg of sodium per 1/4 tsp or 380mg sodium per 1 tsp..
Table salt is 2,325mg sodium per 1 tsp.
So this is 16% the amount of salt per 1 tsp compared to Table Salt. Not terrible since most spice mixes are 30% or more, but still a substantial amount of salt, close to 1/5th

I'm a truck driver and I can tell you, after delivering to McCormick's facilities... I'll never eat their spices.

I believe from the label the serving size is 1/4 tsp not 1tsp, and 1/4 tsp of WPB has 95 mg of sodium, which is about half as salty not 1/3. For reference, 1/4 tsp of salt has roughly 580mg sodium.

That's wonderful watching salt 🧂 I love Montreal but it's just too much.
