The novelty wore off fast. I don't remember the last time I changed my hue bulb colors. Now it's just behaving like the other bulbs in the house, except dimmer.

These bulbs are not color, just the various white tones. I prefer these over the color. Even though I'm sure I will get thumbs down for it, I can't find a reason to use the different colors.

May I give a suggestion on how to use these color bulbs. Use it as security When someone approaches your yard space or open a yard door the bulb with indicates a red light or what ever color you desire. This will let you know someone has violated your space. Time to bring out the big guns !

I'm with you, These are just white tones, no color. But I think they are brighter.

I agree. But I do find myself changing the white tones - warm to white a lot.
I go with these now, better than just the one white color.

These are also the newer model, 1100 lumens vs 800 lumens.

I also agree. I had the color ones in my ceiling fan in my living room and changed them out with the new 100watt equivalent hue white bulbs and like them so much more. Even keeping them dimmed at 50% they are still much brighter than the color bulbs at 100%. I may pick up this deal so I can change out the bulbs in the front room.

I do agree with the color part. I can't find a reason to use them other than I will turn on 1 bulb to blue when watching a movie. Other than that they stay on white 99% of the time. I prefer the white ambience bulbs but they rarely go on sale so I was surprised to see this deal.

That's a cool story, but these are the ambiance bulbs which only allow white color temperature adjustment.

I have one lamp each in my living room, bedroom, and office that I tied automations for certain things to specific colors. I use motion sensors at the front and back door, for example, or the water sensor tied above my sump pump... but at the same time the Alexa integration with Smartthings/hue, as well as push notifications on phone have really made the visual notifications redundant.

Otherwise, I agree with everyone else that 99% of my lights are either base white bulbs or these tunable white (my dad, for example loves being able to set everything to 5000k when he comes over because he's weird like that).
