FYI, if you have your toilet guts replaced with Korky. Buy some of these adapters. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title They were fantastic to connect the cleaner since the houses are different sizes. 5/16" to 3/16" size is the correct one.

Exactly. To expand on the thought for others...the Clorox ones you drop in the tank will eat away at your gaskets and your toilet will be leaking within a year. These are a brilliant design to avoid that.

100% those videos to put fantastic or whatever upside in your toilet tank are the dumbest thing you can do. These are a game changer. I hardly have to clean the toilet. One of them started to get dirty, and I was like.. huh what's wrong.. and it was because the tablet dissolved. Ha..

Anybody find alternative refills? Like could you just break up the ones which clip on inside the toilet rim and fill the kaboom device on the cheap?

I use 1" pool chlorinating tablets. But there was a shortage. Not sure if there still is because I had enough to get me through COVID.

I have the Fluidmaster version of this and it is indeed a game changer. It's the best thing to keep your inside rim holes clean and clear.

I haven't tried the Brominating tablets, but the spa Chlorine tablets smelled horrible.. Just horrible. The Chlorine tablets I tried were Calcium Chloride, whereas house hold bleach is Sodium Chloride. Not sure if the Bromine ones are milder smelling. From what i read the Calcium Chloride won't deteriorate in sunlight/UV, so thats why they use it for a pool or spa. Sodium Chloride does deteriorate from UV, but thaty does not matter for an indoor bathroom.

I had some leftover Clorox tablets (the old jumbo Sodium Chloride jumbo tablets that you drop in the tank), and I carefully smashed them up and dropped a large junk into the Kaboom, and that has been working well. No horrible smell. But you need to be super careful when you smash the Clorox ones up, like using a mask and gloves, and i smashed it up while it was still in its protective bag to minimize dust..

I ordered these. I have only used a couple, but so far, no issues. They fit the Kaboom, and I got 35 usable tablets.
