From a prior thread, and just as an FYI.

"This is a great bread machine. I have the Virtuoso.
Here is something may or may not be important to you.
Virtuos has a huge advantage over the Supreme because it has an additional heating element in its lid. This additional heating element promotes even baking and browning. Also, it has 15 preprogrammed settings instead of 10"

You should take your own advice and stop wasting your time in deals you don't like. And don't laugh at yourself for the stupidity with the emoticon. Learn to express yourself in words.

Perhaps better to buy a cheaper one for $40-60 if you're not sure whether you'll like it?

As someone who has never made bread before. Is this worth it to buy and let sit on my shelf until one day I decide to try to make bread. Or should I just use the oven?

Try an oven first to see if you like it at first. Josh Wiessman or however you spell his name has some good YouTube videos on it.

I bought this at $220 and thought it was a steal. It's been fantastic for me during the pandemic. Does a way better job than my old one.

Does someone know a easy set and forget recipe that can make moist and almost sponge like bread?

Great price. This price is also available from Kohl's whenever they do their 40% mystery coupons every month, plus you get $30-40 Kohl's Cash.

Can it make bead similar to off the shelf fluffy bread. My old machine and recipes made a more dense bead kids never really like it But I'd make bread everyday if it came out similar in store bread and the kids liked it.

Try your local thrift store. Score one for $10 to try it out. Of if you have FreeCycle in your area, try there.

I think it's a good purchase generally if you want to experiment or make bread. Even if you make bread in the oven like I do, this machine is worth it to make the dough which is very hard to do by hand

$200 is an amazing price. I paid like $300 on sale 6 years ago and it's strong going strong

These bread machines are pretty much fool proof if you add the proper ingredients in proper measurements into the chamber. After that you just walk away without any need to check in. Great for busy people. Thrift stores are often full of gently used low end bread machines as people get them as wedding gifts and never really use them and end up donating them. Try a low end one. Then if you like it buy the Zojirushi. Zoji machines last forever and are a must have for people who use their machine weekly or more often. Otherwise a low end machine will do just fine.

I have a bread machine i got for $50 off amazon. We don't buy bread anymore, we only use this machine.

What would $150 more of machine do for the bread?

I already have a vertical bread maker and use it few times a month consistently. Don't really need this but it's tempting….
