I've stopped buying flash memory cards from Amazon due to all the counterfeits. It was ridiculous because EVO Select is an Amazon-exclusive brand, yet Amazon has listings from third party sellers offering it. Long ago I did get what seemed to be a fake EVO Select card - wouldn't hit the minimum speeds the card was rated for (its actual speed was supposed to be much higher)
But it shouldn't be an issue with Samsung memory cards anymore. They now put out a tool which can verify if a card or flash drive is authentic. Scroll down to the bottom to "Samsung Memory Card & UFD Authentication Utility". Download it, pop the card in, and run it. It'll tell you if it's genuine.

TIP: If an item fails after their abnormally short return window, rebuy the same card at full price and return the defective one within it's new return window.
* Best Buy does have a short return period, BUT, to be fair, they do allow you to open and use it (gently) and still return it, which is quite unique and helpful. I've gotten good deals at Best Buy and will continue buying from them.

I've done it before and don't feel bad. They just return it to the manufacturer or get the manufacturer to write it off anyways.

For instance, this review shows 130 MB/s read and write from a verified purchaser using a reader which I assume supports Samsung's DDR200 extensions (which are required form rates above 100MB/s):

There are a bunch of other reviews show show about 95 read / 80 write which complain that it does not match the 130MB/s claimed. These speeds are expected when using a UHS-I reader which does not support the DDR200 extensions.
Saying that, in for one. Thanks, OP.
