Best deal ever for this series of Micro SD cards.

Why Samsung has never built a 1TB Micro SD card, even with QLC flash memory? SanDisk sold them for years and even PNY, Team and Lexar have their 1TB options.

Thanks OP your 256 for $19.99 beats the previous best deal which was the following.
3x64gb for $19.99

It's the cheapest I've seen for a high end card of this size. Definitely jumping on a few.

Do yourself a favor price match this to bestbuy, i stopped buying memory cards on amazon, regardless of who the seller is, due to numerous issues of fake cards
Only Amazon sells the Evo Select Samsung cards, so you won't be able to price match it at Best Buy. They have to be the exact version to qualify for the price match.

I know this sounds like a non-issue to some, but make sure to encrypt your sensitive files when using any card especially on a phone. You may be able to track down your phone when you lose it but thieves can easily pop out the card and run with the data. Learned that the hard way.

Yes, but if you're recording hours per day and drive often - like cab or delivery - then consider the Samsung Pro Endurance cards when they're on sale again.

It doesn't look like they're selling those anymore on Amazon. When I go to this page, it says that I ordered another variety previously (I bought the 128GB with the reader), but when I click on the link to the item, it's just the card without a reader. There's no mention of a reader on the pages for any size card.
Because the readers are for higher grade uhs-II cards.

I wouldn't put too much trust into that one reviewer. Think about it - they're getting faster write speeds (only in the q8t1 test) than the Pro Plus which is rated at 120MB on the write.

There's a reason Samsung doesn't say what the write speeds is for this 2nd generation EVO Select - it's about 58MB/s for me using h2testw which I find to be more real-world realistic (91MB/s on the read). There's also a reason Samsung sells the previous generation (white/green card) for more as it's actually faster on the write speeds (for me about 78MB/s). For those looking for 100MB/s writing, look at the Pro Plus..and the reader is actually pretty good and on sale is only $2 more at times.

My results: USB 3.1 Gen 2 desktop workstation using Samsung's own reader for 64GB & 128GB EVO Select (1st Gen/Green-White), 128GB EVO Select (2nd Gen-Blue), and Pro Plus 128GB & 256GB (dark blue).
Just received my card today and ran both CrystalMark and h2testw at your suggestion.

Test Parameters:
- Desktop system with Intel i7 2600
- USB 3.0 PCIe card
- Windows 10 with latest updates
- Lexar UHS-II reader [amazon.com] connected to cheapo USB 3.0 hub

Results for h2testw (all available space):

Warning: Only 244414 of 244416 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 98.0 MByte/s
Reading speed: 114 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

I don't know exactly why we are getting such different results, but to me, this compares favorably to the best results presented in the Amazon reviews. So, I'm still very impressed by this card (at least for the sequential benchmarks), especially considering the price.

If you use Discover points (cashback from Discover), you get another 30% off!
So it's $20-$6 = $14+tax
How do you get that 30% off? I tried with mine (linked Discover points) but it doesn't reduce the total 30% off. Is there a coupon code or something?
