If I go for the 2 one-way flights, do both flights have to be for me, or can it be one for me and one for my husband, both booked together through my rapid rewards account?

Flight fares change daily. If the flight you were looking up is now within a 21 day window, it's guaranteed to go up (3-6 weeks out is the sweet spot for the lowest price depending on your dep/arr airport).

And like any other elastic pricing item, as the demand goes up, the price goes up. So if you were looking for a DAL --> MDW flight and it was $150 RT yesterday but after this promotion a bunch of people started booking that flight, it's guaranteed to now be $180, $200, $250 as demand increases.

It didn't matter last year and I don't see anything mentioning a price cap for this year.

Nope, one for one. When you book your ticket, whatever one you book, they can be included in that purchase.

On the one-way flights, it mentions intermediate stops/connections are fine, but on the round trip tickets, should it only be non-stop flights?
