As far as saying the game is "good"... I guess when you compare it to the train wreck it was when released (unplayable) to were it is now (playable with no real content)... I guess you could say that is "good".
One new map per "season". The game has been out for a year now and how many maps have been released since then? Two. BF titles used to get 4 or 5 maps per season... now it is one. The latest maps is a recycled ship and storage containers. They really put some thought into that one.
Their big focus now... missions and skins. Not producing content, not fixing huge issues, not fixing maps... missions and skins. CLEARLY DICE has abandoned another BF game (they gave up on BFV as well).
Prior BF titles were about gritty warfare play. 2042 is more of a cartoon shooter.
2042 player count is 5,000 in the past 30 days (with a new map release). BF 5 player count, 7,000 with last release being done on the game over 2 years ago. THAT is how bad 2042 is.
Is this game worth $6? That is a tough call. I'd say between $4-$6. The fact that EA is just about giving it away 1/2 way through it's lifespan says it all. You may want to simply wait until they add all of the content (probably 2 more maps) and then buy everything for $6.
