Personally I use speakers like this for my family room home theater setup and soundbars with wireless sub/rears for small rooms/bedrooms where space and convenience are at a premium for me.
I'm not super familiar with this particular set of speakers but my guess is gonna be that you use these until you replace them piece by piece (or pair by pair). If you're already cutting drywall then I'd probably run atmos wires to the appropriate ceiling spots as well in case you want to add downfiring atmos rather than these which fire up, and the sound bounces back down.
Factoring in the cost of a 9.2 channel receiver, this will explode in price to over $1400. Sure, you can get a 7-ch receiver at half the cost, but then you are kinda losing out on making the most of these speakers.
I tested Jamos atmos setup (s809) with a 7-channel receiver. It sounded really good overall. But wires were a mess. I don't have a couch to hide wires, so they were on the carpet for the rear speakers. I got the Samsung Q990B as it had great reviews, and I am surprised at how good it sounds. Besides the stereo soundstage, the surround sound performance is better than the Jamos setup. Although, when comparing music playback, the soundbar does not hold a candle to it.
With the soundbar, the wires are gone for the rear speakers, and it costs less overall while taking up less space.

Until then it's a huuuuuge improvement from my Onkyo 7.1 HTIAB setup from a decade ago. Fantastic, deep, rich, sound, and you'll be hard pressed to do better for less. Plus, there's the Costco return policy....
Be forewarned, it's a giant box, and quite heavy. And do not use the crappy 24awg wire included in the box. Buy decent 14 or 16 gauge wire [monoprice.com] separately. I went with 12awg because there are some long runs needed for my setup, and while it's technically larger than the "maximum" wire gauge recommended, it still fits.
I also used these speaker mounts [monoprice.com] from Monoprice. 2 sets will only cost you 22 bucks + shipping. Solid mounts, a bit of a PITA for dial in, though.

Ask me how I know.
Buy some decent anchors or toggle bolts from HD or Lowe's. Trust me...
Finally is price, you'll need to buy a receiver in addition to the speakers.
Setting up speakers is actually very easy and it only gets complicated when you start trying to hide them... good luck.

Also, I had no idea that they were acquired by Audiovox. What a steal @ $166M.
