Since it always comes up... Yes, Kobalt power tools are generally very good for their intended purpose. Yes, they are on par with other "jobber grade" tools like Ridgid. No, the other voltages are not compatible with the 24V series. Yes, Kobalt outdoor power tools are more or less the same thing as EGO. See this link from Wikipedia, row 7...

I have this, and it's great. If you already have the 24v tools and batteries this is a no brainer deal. I have 15 kobalt 24v tools and 9 batteries. Never paid full price for any of them.

I have this blower and love it. However, I would suggest getting it in the combo with the weed trimmer. Right now they have it for $149 with the trimmer, battery, and charger, but sometimes they go much lower than that on them

Kobalt power tools (drills, saws, etc.) are made by Chervon, who also makes EGO yard tools.

Kobalt yard tools are actually the same thing as Greenworks, at least in the 40v, 60v, and 80v lines. Their batteries are even interchangeable by cutting out some little plastic bits.

Is the weed eater good for a normal sized yard

Yeah I have over a half acre and it works great. Driveway alone is like 200 feet long, so plenty of edging and weeding. Definitely wear eye protection, it's crazy powerful and will cause damage if it picks up a rock

If ya look far n wide you can find the Kobalt drill with TWO batteries with it for $120. Got it a yr ago for $90. Which (battery) works with of course, with the 500 CFM blower. I have that blower it's fine. Does the deck driveway etc. fall leaves? Will see. This is, a good price. Waiting for my ancient B&D weed whacker to die out so I'll pick up the Kobalt version for $59 now. Have 1. Drill-Driver, 2. 500 CFM Blower, and now 3. Weed whacker… with total of batteries.. $225 total. I'm good fo now..
