For those not with T-Mobile Magenta Max plan, this may not be a great deal. But for me currently have 11 lines, plan to upgrade on two or three lines.

Of course people can choose a $75 6-month Mint Mobile 10GB plan and save money that way. Ultimately, you still need a mobile plan tailored to your needs.
