Deal is back today. Home Depot has the Nature Power 500w pure sine portable power station for today's special buy of the day at $199.00 [homedepot.com]. Capacity is 550Whr. Also comes with a 10W flexible solar panel

1000-Watt surge capacity
2 x 110-Volt AC plugs, DC outlet, multiple high-speed USB and USB-C outputs
Lightweight and portable
Waterproof carrying bag included

The panel is way to small to actually do much charging. I emailed Nature power about the charge controller and their reply seems to say there is no charge controller and just a BMS!?1? It's more battery capacity and inverter capacity than other power stations at this price point though. $199 is a pretty good price for 550whr of lithium batteries and a 500W pure sine inverter.

I couldn't find any reviews of the unit. This [youtube.com] is the official product video.

Not sure if I'm doing the math right, but 500W at 12v would be about about 41.6Ah.

While this is a nice light "all in one" box (with bad reviews), you could get a Group 31 lead acid battery and an inexpensive charger for $130 and have 2.5x the battery capacity, if your goal was 12V.

Own this and it's a nice unit, use it for camping and travel. Wouldn't depend on it for anything too mission critical but it airs up the air mattress, charges the phone and runs the fan just fine.

No Jackery, but the capacity is good for the price.

The solar panel is a joke but easily could buy a larger one should you feel the need.

550 Whr at 12V would be around 45-46 Ah. However, lead-acid cannot be compared directly to lithium because lead-acids do not provide their whole rated capacity, and doing so would deeply discharge and damage them. Furthermore, lithium will generally last a lot longer age-wise. You will probably be replacing a lead-acid after 3-5 years, whereas lithium should last closer to 10 years depending on use-case and abuse.

Must be over rated as that small box can't possibly contain a 1/2KWh of Li-ion battery with BMS, 500W sine wave inverter, cooling fan, wiring, and everything else inside it.
A 500W pure sine wave inverter alone is almost as big as that box without everything else.

How's the charging efficiency? The controller thing is really odd.

Honestly no clue what that means, it goes from 25% to 100% in like 7-8rs on AC charger

ive gotten 5-10% from solar having it out all day/battery in shade so its a "top off" at best with stock panel.

I purchased it , but ended up returning it . The MPPT doesn't work . I have a quality 100 watt solar panel that easily charges my Renolgy 50 amph LiFePo battery in a few hours . However , this generator would not charge at all even in full sun!
