Sounds like to good time to catch Thor: Love and Thunder, and She-Hulk (if I wait 'til the 14th to sign-up, since She-Hulk's last episode is scheduled for 10/13!)

$2 is about the right price to pay to see both of those.

Many of the series were outstanding.

All of the star wars spin offs, moonlight (one episode was beyound weird/LOL), most cartoons, National geographic etc.

But Disney and some others are not properly tagging their content. Cartoons are not a place for children or adults to be indoctrinated to whatever the cause may be without a clear label on content. Recent cartoon and Sci Fi series EX.
Tried to watch the new version of Amazing stores on another service with no content label and was shocked how content was slipped in gradually with the first two episodes. Stories were first class but fell off the rails and train wrecked.
I believe Prime is better at content labels??? TBD/Maybe

No country for old men! Great movie title BTW.

I will not be renewing until this is changed which will never happen.

Will be watching the two new ones today before my subscription expires and we are letting our annual passes expire and stay expired.

Might be time to start reading books again and go for long walks.

(above is copypasta, did this on mobile, was a reply.....)

Well.....The only thing I see here is, National Geographic.... I'm 64, BTW. I do subscribe and watch, daily, Crunchyroll, Hidive, and only recently dropped Funimation that is being merged into Crunchyroll.
I was in highschool when SW Episode 4 was released, saw 4,5,6 & 1 in theater, 1st run.

Black Widow
Mulan was also an extra $29.99 fee upon first release. I believe these were rental charges and not purchase fees.

Edit : Just saw someone posted this info 2 minutes before me. Props.

Man. I was wondering about when that was going to lapse. Hadn't bothered to check, just enjoyed not having had to give them any money in so long.

I can't imagine a repeat of that, but it would be awesome.

Silly question, but does Disney+ make you pay for certain movies/content even with a subscription like some of these other streaming platforms do? Or is everything free to stream once you're subscribed
They tried Mulan (live action) and Black Widow, but I don't think they've done it since.

I don't think there was any advantage in renting it through Disney+ vs. anywhere else and it was confusing to them. But Disney doesn't really have a mechanism for renting videos out.

They should have just sold a slightly discounted rental code to get it through the vendor of your choice (or something like that), just to get more people signing up to try Disney+.

Yeah. Can't believe it's been 3 years. I hope they take care of legacy people!! I got in early too and luckily it's been on hold since I have Verizon's and it's part of our service package. So my 3 years hasn't started.

They also did this for Jungle Cruise. I believe this was more a Covid thing with depressed theater views than a part of their planned business model.
