    Are you trolling? There are lots of uses.

    Portable, battery operated, radios are highly useful, before, during, and after storms, at drive in movies, for camping, hiking, to listen to sports etc. Just because YOU don't THINK you need it, you would assume that others wouldn't either?

    Because when major disasters (natural and otherwise) hit internet, cell, TV, normal radio etc can all go down. "Weather radios" also have additional frequencies beyond your local 'mix' radio station staff that isn't going to show up after a Cat 5 hurricane. These stations broadcast day and night 24/7/365, have major redundancy, can be relayed nationally, even globally. Remotely controlled if needed. I believe, could be wrong, that Ham radio operators can also broadcast on these frequencies. (perhaps not legally but I doubt anyone in a Hurricane Katrina situation would complain if they were broadcasting useful intel).

    Also, they are great low power draw radios for camping, work sites, etc that will not chew through batteries even with continuous use.

    For emergencies, If you've not had enough life experience to see the need for this product, i 100% guarantee you will eventually. Then wish you had it laying around tucked away in the emergency stash.

    Looks just like the SONY one I picked up from Amazon Warehouse. Going to return it and get this one. Any limits on how many as I want to get at least one more for parents and maybe another for brother.
