Amazon has Yakuza Remastered Collection (PS4) for $19.99. Shipping is free w/ Prime or on $25+.

Thanks to Community Member phoinix for finding this deal.

About this Item:
  • The Yakuza Remastered Collection is far from a typical console generation port. In addition to graphical and performance upgrades (720p>1080p at 30>60fps), all three games have gone through a rigorous re-localization process.
  • The English scripts for each game have been reviewed, revised, and even rewritten in some cases, and content previously cut from the Western releases of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have been re-added in The Yakuza Remastered Collection.
  • The Yakuza Remastered Collection brings the final missing chapters in Kiryu's story to the PlayStation 4. From Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, players can now experience the full story of The Dragon of Dojima, all on a single platform.
  • Missing content from the original Western releases has been re-added to the remastered versions, and the full English scripts have been reviewed, revised, and had portions rewritten for accuracy alongside the original Japanese releases.
  • This release marks the first time Yakuza 5 will be available in a physical format in the West, so the collection includes a genuine Yakuza 5 PS3 case; after 5 years since the original release, series collectors can finally fill the gap in their library!

Just finished 7 and it was the first of the series I've played due to it being free on ps+. Almost gave up after becoming a bum and the things u had to do earn money. Glad I didn't. It was certainly a fun a humorous game once I realized the intentional parody takes the game implemented.

I still have Yakuza Like a Dragon in the wrapper. It was also free for PS+members last month. From the ones I've played, here's how I rank the Yakuza games on PS4, best to worst.

Yakuza 0
Yakuza 5
Kiwami 2
Kiwami
Yakuza 4
Yakuza 6
Yakuza 3

Check out Judgment series and Fist of The North Star also. It's also made by the same team, RGG studios! Here's hoping Yakuza Ishin makes it to the states someday hopefully...

Yakuza 3 really killed the series for me. I don't want to skip it and start playing 4. It deserves a remake.

I guess I got lucky and actually started the series at 3. I fell in love with the series with that one, Compared to more than half of what is out there game wise it just blew me away. It may be the weakest of the series in some people's opinion but it was still a hell of a good time for me.

Like a Dragon is easily the best Yakuza game if you stick with it. The sequel is on the way, which I can't wait for. The rest of the games have good stories, but they have boring beat-em-up combat that gets really repetitive, really quickly, with usually very little strategy. 7 is also more comical, even though the rest of the games do have some of that stuff as well.

Totally unrelated to the Yakuza story line, it's based on an anime. Has pretty much the same gameplay mechanics. Superhero power stuff, not yakuza fighting. Pretty fun if you like ridiculousness and heads popping.

I couldn't stick to Like a Dragon. I felt my whole party was underpowered, that or I just suck at turn based combat. I ended up giving up.

You might have been grinding xp in the wrong area. If the enemies are over 8 levels, you might want to run away and fight another day.

The first yakuza game you play is going to be the most memorable. It introduces you to a totally new world. Kiwami 1 is my first love. Nothing else is going to compare to that first experience.

Yeah I figured I'd have to grind, but man I got tired of it. Just ended up playing other unrelated games....currently playing Lost Judgement and liking that.

I never liked the turned based combat. You essentially end up grinding it out to level up (there are some guides that give you easier ways to do it) or running away from fights. The overall story and substories are pretty great, so the combat is the only thing really dragging down the game for me. I wish they had left the old combat alone. I'd even take the over the top RPG visuals and such with the classic arcade beat 'em up system. That'd be fun.

Funny how people have differing perspectives. I found the JRPG combat as boring and repetitive. The boss fights just feel like harder versions of the standard fights. Whereas the beat-em-up gets a bit boring with the random thug fights, but at the end the big fights are always exciting for me.
