The owner's manual describes how to disable the beep simply, using buttons on the remote.
But lack of configurable user profiles is the deal breaker. Once you try it there's no way back in the large households.

Moen regrets to hear that the beeping when you sit on the seat is louder than you expected. When a user sits on the seat, the unit will emit a two-tone beep to indicate the seat sensor has been activated and wash functions are available. Moen Specialists are available to further assist you Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm EST at 1-800-289-6636. every review on costco about the beeps has the same or similar response. There is no button press sequence to disable the beeps written in the manual that came with mine. this amazon person either has a different item, or is lying.
