Keep in mind that this is for bill credits extending over 36 months. If you change phones at any point prior to 3 years you lose all remaining bill credits and have to pay off the remainder of the phone.

This diminishes the real value of this deal for anyone like me who changes phones on average every 2 years.

Apple knows what they're doing...these phones will fly off the shelves, as all iPhones tend to do.

Headphone jack and notch isn't a critical function of a smartphone. Myself and many others who switch phones and OSs often won't be buying this phone anytime soon because of the e-sim. A lot of international business travelers and Travelers in general will be avoiding this time because some countries still don't have e-sim solutions or physical sims are the much cheaper option. Apple once again creating a problem they'll either sell you a solution down the line for or strongarm the industry to adapt to. Of course it'll still fly off the shelves but I think it'll be much less than last year. Also don't forget the "totally not a recession" we're in vs the higher discounted price this time around.

So ATT with Iphone 14 Plus, would be 1000, plus 1000 trade in for iphone 12. You would essentially just pay taxes and activation fee? What does upgrade of an existing line mean? What if all my lines already have every feature?

Bestbuy had T-Mobile upgrade/activation deal where you trade in iphone 12 pro for 13 pro for just $100. The trade in was instant and no bill credits.

Apple seems to be the best bet.....they are giving $720 instant credit vs TMO $550 instant credit for 13 pro max and the balance over 24 month bill credit
