So i know most of your are thumbs down on the 12pro -13pmax values. Can someone confirm if the lower tier phones are good value ? I have an IP11 pro max. I think it's 450??

Or should I wait for a 100 dollar discount from bb after pre sales

No one has any concrete details about that yet! It might happen or might not.

They won't, there is super high demand for this.
When the phone actually becomes available in a few weeks there will be even higher demand.
The only time that they might have better deals I would say 3 to 6 months down the road when everybody has gotten their 14's and then they want to sell more to the ones who haven't gotten it.

Last year the preorder of 13 series already saw discounts on BB T-Mo. I wonder if last year's good deal was because of companies are afraid of impact of covid so even apple lowered their wholesale price to carriers. Maybe this year because of material inflation, apple didn't increase MSRP but did increase wholesale price to carrier. If carriers essentially are eating the inflation, they naturally provide fewer discounts

If Best Buy does do a $899 starting price for activation for the 14 Pro in the next couple of weeks, does a price match apply still?

I know it becomes more convoluted with trade ins, carrier incentives, etc. I think it a price match should still happen though within 15 days?

Many of us here trade in our phones every year, so the two year satelite service plan is irrelevant.

I'm going to wait until later this fall...it doesn't seem like any of these trade in offers are too compelling for us "simple choice" plan holders. I can't see them getting worse...though I've been wrong before!

I purchased an S21U with tradein and the price dropped a few day later. I asked for the pricematch. They said they couldn't do it because the final price was less than the original price before the trade in. It was $50. So I just gave up. They told me I could return and buy it again.

Too much hassle to return and deal with a restocking fee for the $50 refund. Oh well, I'm comfortable with the price I paid. $700 isn't that great for my 13 Pro, but it's better than the $600 Apple offered and I don't have a 2 year EIP to sign for the remaining difference.

Luckily I had some gift cards and reward certificates saved up.
