I just upgraded my 6 lines of the Magenta Plus(not Max) on T-Mobile App, I was able to get full credit of $1000 or $800 for old iPhones. If you plan on staying for 24 mo, give it a shot if you are on some top-tiered grandfather plan.

best to have an iCloud backup
some employees are nice and will let you do the iPhone to iPhone transfer on the spot.
Most will try to charge you for 'helping' you do this. I believe last year it was a $30 or $40 charge.

keep in mind that their wifi is slow in the store and it will take HOURS if you have lots of gb to transfer.

$1000 are only for Magenta plan, grandfather plan only get up to $500 (50%) off.

Yep. Saw a few that stood on the side forever to transfer their data onto the new phone from the i13 deal and asking BB employees why it took so long. LOL. Best to backup to icloud and itune first. Just press reset button on the tradein phone when employee give you the new phone. In and out within 10 minutes.

They just make it worse for the rest because some employees are strict and HAVE to finish with that 1 customer before moving on to the next customer.
covid and worker shortage from last year didn't help as well.

I have the old Magenta Plus not the Max, so T-Mobile was trying to mislead ppl to upgrade if they don't have to

Totally agree. I could see the satisfaction in their eyes when I said "already did" when asked if I need to do any backup.
