This is MTech's copy of the Kershaw shuffle series of knives. There is a Shuffle I, Shuffle 2 and a Shuffle DIY with build in screwdriver bits. The Shuffles all come in budget 8cr13MoV, while this MTech copy is in ultra budget 3Cr13, but shuffles have gotten expensive and are normally all a bit north of $20 unless you catch them on sale. The MTech copy has spring assisted opening while the Kershaw's do not, which many may like since it's a small blade. I can open my Shuffle I with one hand via the thumb stud, but wouldn't call it flippy. It's tip down, right side only on the pocket clip. Perfect for lefties, would carry well in a jeans coin pocket, too. Fairly decent reviews on this MTech, which I will admit I've never even held, so for $5 might be worth is to see if you like this style of small knives. If you do and want something a little nicer you can check out the Kershaw Shuffle, but you'll be dropping closer to 5x what this little MTech is on sale for. And remember it's a $5 knife, a nice one according to most reviews, but don't expect the moon. And remember all knives need sharpening, cleaning, a bit of oil and to be maintained. Watch for backing out screws and be ready with a bit of blue threadlocker if necessary to keep them in place. For $5 this looks like a no-brainer to add to your next Amazon order for the free shipping, even if it doesn't become your new favorite EDC. Small knives are always handy to have around.

The Pink is the same price
MTech USA Spring Assisted Folding Knife – Pink... MT-A882PK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XZDKSO2

The Teal/Green color is a little more
MTech USA – Spring Assisted Folding Knife – Green... MT-A882GN... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XZDKSOC

I had a red one, fairly handy, very sharp. just need to locktite the screws frfr, and for the price I couldn't help but grab another. For the poors.

Black price has gone back to base. The pink is still $5. Not getting a pink knife.

It's not a "Tactical" knife, so no deal.

Not exactly.. CA has no such law, though a couple cities do have an outdated law on carrying spring-loaded switchblades over the length of 6 inches.

As for these knives, it's completely legal to own. I actually own several like them purchased from local shops in CA.

I think spring loaded knives are illegal in California. CA has too many stupid laws.

Legally, the consequences of owning an illegal weapon is on you. If there was any kind of disclaimer on the site and you placed the order, Id hope you have the good sense to keep it at home.

Screws backing out on a $5 knife! No kidding! A bit of blue threadlocker will fix that in a jiffy. And spring assisted knives can open on their own if you don't keep the pivot screw properly adjusted and held in place with threadlocker to maintain a proper detent on the blade.

The folks who leave those reviews don't understand how to maintain a knife properly, and never sharpen, clean, oil or otherwise maintain it. Any folder can be dangerous if you don't take care of it.

It's a freaking $5 knife. No one's going to spend on blue thread locker and/or knife oil for a $5 knife.

It's not like this is a $200 Bowie knife bought by knife enthusiasts, that someone buying this is expected to "maintain it", or even know how to "keep the pivot screw properly adjusted".

TD for me...

Then in the long run you will be spending more money to repeat buy than you would to maintain your tools in the first place. A knife doesn't have to cost $200 to make it worth not treating as disposable.

Its a good thing to know how to maintain a tool with lethal potential regardless of price.

Teal and pink still on sale. Got the pink one and it's actually more of a burgundy color. It's definitely not pink.

This, or the stun gun?
You don't want either for protection. You don't want to get that close. Your foe is not going to just stand there. Get an air taser and you don't have to get close and the hooks stay in. maybe a can of OC too. What the other guy has is pretty important toio. You may be the guy bringing a knife ro a gun fight. You want to gamble your life with 5 bucks?
