Good price, and I am a Costco fan but the waiting time for tire service at Costco can be long. Remember that you have to go back for periodic rotations, and the time adds up. PM Costco at a tire store and get faster service.

I just had Discount Tire price match a set of Cross Climate 2's. It came out cheaper at Discount Tire. The out the door price was I had added to the cart, before any taxes even applied. I also used this a few months back for the BFGoodrich deal, same deal with matching the cart price. This included labor, taxes and all other fee's which saved another $100 or 2.

This is normal promo for Michelin tires at Costco. Taking a look at the prices just now and they've gotten more expensive...dang inflation!

Moreover I m finding Costco Tire is coming out to be really costly affair almost like $900+ for suv

Some how my suv tires runs out sooner

To save - more i found Kumho tire had good reviews on tirerack on Amazon which Local Mavis store Price Matched + install $20/tire + Recycle $14 that comes out much cheaper $650 for 4
Vs costco Bridgestone $960

Same includes free tire rotation.

Just wanted to share

I've usually booked my appointments for tire rotation at 10 AM on a weekday. That gets me in and out in 45 mins max.

That's because SUVs weigh more. Couple that with stop and go and any spirited driving and you'll burn through tires quick. On top of that everyone is into large diameter tires which are also more expensive.

I don't understand why anyone would hate on Costco for tires.

* No hassle low price when on sale
* Free rotation and balancing for life
* Free road hazard warranty. They also properly plug and patch (not just plug).
* Nitrogen filled
* Appointments for install and rotations
* Professional, trained tire staff

It's a class operation. I don't buy tires anywhere else.
Not really hating, it's just that all those are nothing special and common to many tire shops and most online dealers. The big disadvantage of Costco is the limited brands and therefore poor selection (eg I prefer Continental tires which come with a better manufacturer road hazard warranty, so Costco is never an option)

Wish they would carry Hankook. Those are the best. Prove me wrong.

My set of Mich 235/55/19 LTX were worn out and I was headed for this offer, then instead thought to use the warranty, since I was at <42K on a 60K tire that I bought at Costco in2018. Couldn't combine the discount, but since they were warranty, the install was free, and my road hazard repairs, rotations and such still applies on the new tires. Replaced with the Cross Climate 2's (awesome in rain here in Fl). Would have been 981.88 +7% tax, but with the warranty replacement instead was 803.00 out the door. Don't forget your pro-rata warranty folks.

My wife's Hankooks that came stock on her Elantra GT dry rotted and started breaking apart long before they were tread bare. They were 6 years old according to the sidewall code. Replaced with Mich's and they are so much quieter and better handling. Not trying to prove you wrong though, just stating my experience. On my car the OEM Hankooks were worn out at 34K. Always properly aligned, inflated and rotated. I'm sure road conditions somewhere else could possibly make the difference.

FWIW, any place you buy tires, you have to get period tire rotations or else you will void your warranty.

IF you buy tires from Costco, and subsequently do NOT renew your membership - would you still get rotations and balancing free?
