Good price, and I am a Costco fan but the waiting time for tire service at Costco can be long. Remember that you have to go back for periodic rotations, and the time adds up. PM Costco at a tire store and get faster service.

I just had Discount Tire price match a set of Cross Climate 2's. It came out cheaper at Discount Tire. The out the door price was I had added to the cart, before any taxes even applied. I also used this a few months back for the BFGoodrich deal, same deal with matching the cart price. This included labor, taxes and all other fee's which saved another $100 or 2.

This is normal promo for Michelin tires at Costco. Taking a look at the prices just now and they've gotten more expensive...dang inflation!

Tire wear has a lot to do with how the car is driven and how heavy the car is and when it is driven. The hotter the temp, the more wear. More weight more wear. Aggressive acceleration and stops, more wear. And keeping the tires on the car to get the last bit out of the tires may not be that safe. Less tread more chance of hydroplaning.

Yes, the prices appear to be $200 higher (for four) than when I last checked a year ago.

I don't have the language in front of me, but I can tell you that Costco honored the warranty, and paid for most ( about 60-70%, I believe it was) of a new set of tires for me a few years ago, when my tires wore out very FAST; and I don't believe ANY of the rotations were done at Costco. I had to prove that rotations were done every 5K miles, and I brought in all of the work orders from the local shop and dealer -- they reviewed the documents and approved it. It was a bit of a hassle, but they made good on it.

Yes. I just had it done last week. I made sure to give them my lug key and instructions regarding any hub centric rings as well as I wanted to keep my valve stem caps (green just too ugly)

That's not true. You only get wheel alignments when needed. If it makes you feel better, go right ahead. I usually get alignments when the steering veers in either direction or when the tread wears unevenly at one side

I do actually. Had them on G37 and didn't make it past 27k miles. That's when I replaced them and man they were about 2.1mm remaining. Bad!

Definitely a better deal. Unfortunately for me I gotta jump on this because she's hydroplane easily on the tires. They're even with the warning horizontal thingies.

ie don't want her to crash the expensive car to save 100-150

Discount tire was more expensive for me. I was looking for 245/50/18. Also last time that O got from them, they over charged me at store for installation

Life time and performance do not like each other in tires world. If you want better stability in dry and rain just get the performance Michelin ones. If you want better life get the touring Bridgestone ones. Also pirelli and Goodyear are good choices. But costco do not have them. I had none performance tires before and do not like them. I prefer to be safer on the road

Last time I got Michelin tires they wore out very quickly like around 25k miles. But Costco prorated the remaining miles. Now I'm on Bridgestone tires.

The "traction" rating is super outdated and often doesn't apply for any car that has ABS. CrossClimate 2 has a traction rating of B vs A on the first gen ones and they explain why the testing methodology is poor.

I can't recommend the CrossClimate 2 enough for anyone that deals with snow. I live in the top 3 highest snowfall cities and I used to run dedicated WS80 snow tires with Pilot Supper Sports but the WS80s are way worse in the transitional months when temps are ~40F and are more slippery than a greased pig in the rain. Modern tire tech turns most of what tire shop techs know into old wives tales. Even modern summer performance tires will spank snow tires in the wet well below freezing temps.
