The "traction" rating is super outdated and often doesn't apply for any car that has ABS. CrossClimate 2 has a traction rating of B vs A on the first gen ones and they explain why the testing methodology is poor.

I can't recommend the CrossClimate 2 enough for anyone that deals with snow. I live in the top 3 highest snowfall cities and I used to run dedicated WS80 snow tires with Pilot Supper Sports but the WS80s are way worse in the transitional months when temps are ~40F and are more slippery than a greased pig in the rain. Modern tire tech turns most of what tire shop techs know into old wives tales. Even modern summer performance tires will spank snow tires in the wet well below freezing temps.
Thanks for that personal experience based feedback on CrossClimate 2 (Michelin tires are generally good aswell & am also speaking from personal experience). The part about traction rating being outdated is news to me, i thought those were some objective metrics to use to cut through marketing crap when looking to shop...

Perhaps I was just unlucky... twice, but Costco damaged my wheels on two occasions. Won't be back.

Keep in mind you MUST go back to do rotations and balancing after certain miles in order for the 60,000 miles warranty to not get void. I did one rotation at Costco at xxxx miles and then another one at my local tire shop and then got lazy during the pandemic and never did any until recently. The tires wore out within 3 years and I was denied their 60,000 warranty because they said they have no record of my rotations and balancing therefore it was user error and not manufacture defect so warranty got void. Always go back to Costco to do the rotations and balancing so they have record of you doing it every xxxx miles. At 25k miles my Mich tires are smoother than watermelon skin.

Costco doesn't have the laser alignment rack. You need to use proper terminology.
Balanced not alignment because that is a $150 service and usually cost a lot more than a tire installation.
No, I meant aligned, which was checked regularly at the dealership when she went in for her free oil changes. I made sure it was checked annually, as I do mine. Rebalancing came with every rotation because of the TPMS packs staying with each wheel.

How picky is Costco about documentation of tire inflation, alignment, and tire rotations? The warranty language seems rather onerous. Yearly alignments. I have never done that.
Alignment check...not alignment. They don't seem particularly concerned, but then I only go to them for service on the tires. The dealership does alignment checks on request. Never actually needed one.

FWIW, my local dealership beat Costco prices by ~$120.

Crazy. Ikr?
Wow, my dealership was HUNDREDS more. I literally LOL'd at their price, and my service rep was all grins.

My Costco makes appts. Still about an hours wait, about enough time to shop and checyout.
And I've watched them hand torque my rims, and in all these years never had any damage. With my recent appointment the whole process or purchase and mounting was under an hour. I'm sure it's store/employee dependent, but yes, appointments are the way to go.

What deal do they usually have around Black Friday? I remember it was really crowded last year. Any help is appreciated. TIA
In previous years they have done the same but with free installation (or I think they maybe charged a penny). Black Friday will bring other tire deals. I bought a set of 4 Cooper 235/65/R16 tires last year on Black Friday for my old Odyssey for $229 installed after rebate at NTB so be sure to keep an eye out.

Yep. Toyota gave me a quote that was $200 more than Costco. The service advisor is a really nice guy, told me to get a quote from Costco and said he could probably come down from his quote by $50. He never charges me for rotation but if i used another dealership, they'd charge.
