Thank you! It means a lot coming from you. I am having a hard time not liking this casio.
During the pandemic we signed up for Piano Academy on our ipad and learnt music today.
We started from :
15 key's holiday music keyboard > fisher price 20+ keys> fisher price 30+ > 41+>60+?? Now. All free hand me downs from neighbors.
Even the 3 year old is showing interest. None of us ever learnt music before and now i can read basic sheet music and i love it. So this is gonna be a fun ride….not a career.
I just dont want us to get carpel tunnel because we love it so much and have bad posture……at least the second grader officially starts private lessons tomorrow evening at 8pm (we were on waiting list since Covid:p)
get this one, it has a lighter action, better for starters and smaller hands.
OR the es110, it might come back on sale this holiday. the slab style is easier to adjust for height.
Just got lp380 this week from $800 deal. It has one black sticky key, should I try returning that and getting this instead? We are all beginners just for hobby.
Update: sticky key is closer to the left side, probably will never use it, but will be an issue if I try to sell later on.

Do not accept sticky key, return it immediately for exchange or buy this one, or wait for es110 to come back to $550,

search taubmen technique on youtube, the videos are a bit disjointed, but watching them will give you some better ideas about the physiology of piano playing. it's similar to drumming, you want to use the weight of your arm and body (through momentum and gravity) as much as possible as opposed to holding your body rigid, and flexing your fingers to depress the keys. You arm weight is what depresses the keys, your fingers are only there such that your arm does not fall off the piano. proper technique should feel like your whole body/arm falling into the piano, the fingers are the landers only. You want to minimize fingering the keys, (it's part of piano playing), but use gravity whenever possible.
