I have 2nd ed and the rules don't always make sense. Wonder if I could just print 3rd edition rules and use my 2nd edition set.

It's very rare for our board-gaming family to give up after one play, but we couldn't STAND this one. The rules literally gave me a headache, as I recall.

The 2nd edition rules were fine. Always had a blast playing. Hope these rules aren't bad.

Per BGG the consensus is the 3rd edition is MUCH better than the 2nd edition with new haunts and fixed/better rules.

I personally plan on trading in (donating) my 2nd edition and picking up the 3rd edition.

I don't know what version I played but it wasn't this one, we always enjoyed it and though the Haunts tended to often favor the traitor I never thought the rules were bad. There were some ambiguous parts but we always thought that was just part of the strategy. Curious if anyone has examples of the bad rules

We lost our copy in our friends' divorce so I'm in for this one. I'll have to check the rules out and see if something jumps out on this one.

The Walmart by my house had it in their clearance aisle for $35 but rang up for $19 so YMMV

This is a really really fun game. I don't know what changed in this version but you should buy this game if you have a group that is capable of playing something a little more complex than Monopoly.

The issue with the game is you get thrust into this situation where you are the only player whose objectives and ability to move and fight have completely changed and you essentially have 5 minutes to figure it out and you can't ask anyone for help as it will blow up your spot. We always had an extra player sit out a game when we started just in case someone needed an independent party to figure out what to do.
