Watts does not equal MPH, and can not be used for an accurate comparison. There are several different types of hub motors, and the motors can be assembled with different windings.
The controller and battery determine the wattage, not the motor. So calling it a "500 watt motor" is kind of a misnomer. By advertising it as a 500 watt motor, the seller could be saying the motor itself can handle 500W without overheating and burning out. However, most of the time these numbers are made up for marketing purposes. The same motor could be paired with a 10 amp controller and see a max of around 400 Watts or it could have a 15 amp controller and draw around 600 Watts. In my case, I use a 52V battery and 45 amp controller on a motor that was sold as a "1500 watt motor," and it runs 2500 Watts without any issues or need for heatsink/statorade.

Says the Hang 5 has a 500 watt motor and reaches 15 mph but the juice only has a 450 watt motor but reaches speeds up to 18 mph how would the less powerfull motor go faster

Anyone have the Amped ST? I know it's a so called 'ladies' bike but I have short legs and nearly 6 foot. I also like it because it has fenders.
That bike has a step-through frame. I see no indication that it is made for people of a specific gender, however it is a rather large bike so smaller people won't fit it well.

You are in the listed height range, although near the top (6'). It looks fairly upright, so it shouldn't be much of an issue to be at the top of the range.

Traditionally, these frames were supposedly made for women to accommodate riding with dresses, but anyone can ride them of course. They are a great option for anyone who likes easier mounting of the bike.

This is the 2020s, not the 1920s.
Good modern bike companies make bikes to fit different sizes of people, not different genders. Step-through style frames have been marketed to both genders for decades...
i got the hurley hang 5 from the joyride deal, and have to say i'm iffy on it. I wanted it because I have the xiaomi m365 essential, and figured it will be similar.
Unfortunately it is made with noticeably cheaper parts all around. It is fine for casual slow fun rides, but I lack confidence in it's long term reliability. It does have a UL stamp which makes me feel a little better. I wouldn't recommend and would say spend a little bit more on a better brand like xiaomi or segway.

The site has an 'L' for the lower bar and a 'M' for a higher bar. I know bikes don't have genders. The step through bikes are always better.
I'm not a small guy. I'm nearly 6 feet and 210 pounds. I just have slightly shorter legs and a longer torso. It's a family thing.
Anyways, what about extra batteries? Any place to get them?
Are these ebikes loud? Built for 250-275lb guys? My kids have wanted to get into riding bikes but my knees aren't great. Maybe an ebike wouldn't be so bad?
If you have bad knees make sure to get the lower bar bikes. So much better on the knees than trying to life your leg over a bar.
I called wellbot to find out if they are the seller. The seller is joyridebikes they are shipped from them.
So same concerns as from the other thread - used items getting shipped as new, awful customer service, no reply for physical issues with bikes...mine got shipped without charger, otherwise it was new, but still...
