Just random members on the site selling both used and unopened products. How I found certain speakers for sale there was by typing the brand name of the speaker in the search box and looking for topic discussions or the highlighted keyword for that brand. And then I would sort my search by the date.

Let me just say this. I love this thing nearly as much as my Polk R700s. The 590 has a wall of sound I haven't able to match with the R700, but the R700 has better imaging and more accurate low end.

However, to be 100% honest, its hard to compare the two directly because they are in two different rooms. Polks are in the basement and the 590 is in the living room.

If I HAD to return one, I would actually get rid R700 because they were more than 2x the price (2200 dollars total) of these.

I got these when they first went on sale for $500 each. All reviews back then compared them to Klipsch RF-7s thar I always wanted to get. They replaced Polk rti-a7 and felt the immediate upgrade in sound quality. Since then, I bought magnepan 0.7, Klipsch klf-20 and just recently Martin Logan 60 XT. Let's just say, I am now having a hard time letting go one of them. These speakers are special in a way that it does everything well but those others just beat it in one area or the other.

Anyone on the fence, just get these or 580.

Ps. I also read the new 6 series is very different and not necessarily better than 5, except maybe the build quality.

Any inputs for the 520C and in-ceiling speaker? New house is open floor in the living room and I'm not sure if I want to setup rear bookshelves out in the open or just go with adjustable tweeters in the ceiling.

So these came Tuesday and are absolutely incredible. The soundstage is mind blowing every time I shift my attention to it or what I'm watching has a stereo effect. There's just an amazing way that the imaging happens above me, to the left of me, right, behind me.. Enveloping.
