Read the reviews about it being more of a toy and novelty. I'd rather put this money towards a real one. I'm done buying things just because they're cheap or a deal, that's how hoarders are born.

Cause most people don't think to buy from AE. Literally anything you buy from Amazon can be had for a lot cheaper on AE. It's whether or not you want to deal with months long shipping process and whatever bs return policies the seller has vs a 1-2 day ship plus generous return policy

I have no idea if these are good or not, but I do know that the regular price average over the last couple of years hovers right around $100. Worth a shot I think. Thanks OP

Agreed, been keeping an eye on this one for a while and waiting for a sale on it. Just need something cheap so my wife can find lost cats in the dark, for $25 how bad could it be? Would be happy with 1990's camcorder night vision, would be good enough for our purpose. We'll see!

From a device complexity standpoint, this device is basically a camera module + IR LED + small display. Let's say much less complex than a flip phone, for example, and some flip phones in the US market are $20. So I can imagine the manufacturing cost of this is pretty low.

What I'm surprised by is more the scale. Like I guess you can lower manufacturing costs of flip phones by making lots of it. But are there that many people buying these things?
