This one as well as the 82 version has been skipped over when it comes to 4k. Of all the movies that deserve an uplift these should be at the top of the list. ..but sadly they're not. I'm not sure how the sound is on this (dts) and whether that needs an upgrade but 4k atmos would be nice. This is in HD.

You have some rose colored glasses when it comes to the 82 version. We're not missing out much there

The most important reason to have this BD is hearing and seeing it in lossless. This is a reference/demo worthy film already and doesn't need a 4k nor Atmos upgrade (most films from 2000s and newer don't). The sound engineering mix is fantastic.

Grr looks like it's sold out everywhere in Houston for me at Best Buy. Also for Amazon $3.99 is the Prime rental price. Blu-ray costs more.

If you know your way around the Internet you can get a "4K" HDR version that was done unofficially. Looks really cool with HDR.

Yeah I just upgraded my sub to a svs pb-2000 pro and was looking online for recommended demos for new subs and this didn't disappoint. I forgot how good this looks too. I watched it on a Samsung qn90a with dolby atmos too. Amazing disk.

Maybe not the greatest script ever written, but it is beautiful and has an amazing soundtrack. I fire it up once or twice a year (also after firing it up). Some of the Clu headshots could be better but it's not as bad as some of the recent CGI de-aging I've seen.
