Yes, it's very easy to go to Home Depot or Lowes with the measurements of the cut you need and ask a rep to make a cut for you with anything they have available. I usually try to pick something from their scrap pile so it's either free or 90% off.

Usually in the back of the wood section. Tho it's slim pickings these last few years. HD is 70% off. Wood marked with purple paint.

A very sturdy shelf but I call bs on the per shelf capacity. Be prepared to flip the particle board as you see fit to avoid the bending, warping, sinking of the particle board over time.

Anyone ever modded one of these by replacing the particle board with something stronger?

Throwing out a bunch that i inherited from previous owner because of this exact reason.

The Costco muscle rack version is a buy once, cry once purchase. Will wait for a sale on that.

Oh yes, go to Lowes or home depot and choose the thickness/wood you want. They will cut it for you.

Their shelves usually push into the $150-200 range, but the boards used are much better quality.

But the real buy is their industrial wire rack. It's $300 (minimum 2 if you don't pick it up yourself) and the thing is a monster at over 6ft wide and 24in deep with 2,000lb capacity per shelf. The grates are a little wide for smaller items, but nothing a board under them can't fix.

There are some Muscle Rack shelves on sale at Walmart now too. Here's one https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/54134492
Slightly larger size, slightly higher price.

I doubt these really sold for $119. The same sized 36" Muscle Racks are around $89.
