Even though not as good of a deal, you can get a white version from Amazon for $138 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M4BN431?th=1
I would rather do that instead of doing all the rebates here to get effectively $135 on Newegg.

thanks for posting this OP Smilie .. there's a tom's hardware review of the case here if that helps anybody

https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...00x-review

though it's worth noting that the 3.5 star rating they give it is based on the $200 price it was selling for at the time.

Also worth noting that you'll only be able to install four sata hard drives into the case (although with the right motherboard I guess you could install an m.2 drive and still have four sata ports left over to give you 5 hard drives effectively connected in total) .. for the size of the case this really surprised me though I imagine that would be plenty for a lot of people....

... my ancient (by PC standards Stick Out Tongue ) phanteks pro M case gave me the option of installing up to 8 sata drives and crazy as it sounds yes I have 6 sata drives going on my PC Stick Out Tongue ... I don't let sata drives peacefully retire when I upgrade, I run the old ones until they can't be run anymore I'm cheap that way Stick Out Tongue .. since I'm a bit paranoid I like storing my files in at least two drives different from my C drive plus backing them up offline periodically.

I bought the white version for $120 last month.

I'm debating if I want to get a second one. This comes with 3x SP120 fans, that's normally $80. For $40, I can have spare parts or maybe even sell on Facebook without fans.

That's sound like a good plan.

I looked it up. My desk is a black surface with white components. Tower has to be white.

Certainly 4 SATA drives are most likely enough for most people. For $95, this deal is probably the best so far when it come for a premium build case. Consider the fact that 3x Corsair RGB would typically net you about $80+ like the post above mentioned, the case itself basically a steal.

I didn't need a new case but I've been eyeing this one for a while. $95 AR is reason enough to jump.

I do like white cases but prefer the dark tint glass on this version. It looks more seamless than the white version (too much grey).

I'm upgrading from a deep cool matrexx 70. That case is fine, but I like the build quality and engineering on this one better.

I'll reuse that case for an older system.

Pretty sure you can put the 5000D mesh front panel on this 5000X, if you want better airflow. The 5000D panel can be purchased on its own.

Yep. $15 + shipping, but it's usually oos.

I just spent $100 on a case I don't really need so I'm not keen on spending more.
Here's a tip for those not looking to spend more: move the top of the 3 fans to the rear. That will increase airflow and drop temps by a few degrees.

Add more intake fans to the side and you will get good enough airflow in lieu of getting a mesh front panel. I think it looks way better with glass panel than mesh.

5000d is the base model. 5000d airflow is the optimized version for airflow. The 5000x was designed for looks with 3 glass panels and premium rgb fans + controller. 5000t is the new hybrid model combining looks + airflow.

The 5000x's airflow is actually quite decent as its intake paths are deeper than most other cases with glass front. Same for the top vents. The gaps are over 1" deep.

$95 for the 5000x is a steal.

Your and my definition of premium are very far off.
