This is a good price for a "meh" but fully serviceable bike - not mountain bike. Surely capable to ride around in city trails, commute etc while focusing at the lowest possible price, just don't try to follow your seasoned MTB friends on single track with this...think of it as "gravel" bike at best.

This is also not a $400 MSRP bike by any stretch of imagination, this is a $120-150 bike, or at least it was pre-pandemic.

Good value for riding around the neighborhood or gifting to a wife or a kid that won't try crazy shit on it.

I've seen this bike. There's a few of them in the endcap bike display. It seemed an odd looking bike at first, that's why I stopped and looked at it. Then I started comparing it with the 26" Schwinn next to it and figured out this 27.5" bike is a 26" bike with a extended seat. Looks kind of dorky IMO, like a low rider bike with long seat pipe.. You might want to look at it first before purchase. The $90-something Roadmaster looked better to me. Just my 2 cents.

Can I ride this bike in a beginner mountain biking trail?

Can I return it back to Walmart in case it's not a good fit?

Just received a M. Don't worry about the 31.5# weight.

The bike came in complete sans a broken bell. At least that is my initial observation.

Installed in <10 mins, as i'm not handy.
The only thing is the pedal, if you get stuck, that's because the left/right side is wrong. Once i switched, both pedals installed smoothly right away.

When you install the front wheel, remember the original brake line position so you can put it back.

Did a test ride, runs great, brake is good.

The one I ordered came with no quick release to mount the front tire. I had a couple spares at the house.

I received the bike this evening. Everything seems to be there except the toolkit.
Can someone tell me where it is usually packed? I have not been able to locate it.
What tools come with it?
The top of my shipping box was opened and all the stapes torn out so I don't know if it fell out.

The frame geometry in the stock photos seems awkward to hang off of a typical car hitch bike rack. I'm used to carrying bikes where the top tube is horizontal to the ground with vertical gap near the stem to hang off of the typical Yakima or Thule hitch bike carriers. Anyone who has this bike can comment on how to carry this bike? Or is everyone here just biking around their neighborhood and sticking it back in the shed?

Seems like a lot of folks are saying their boxes were open when they got them, myself included. What's the deal?

Mine too. But the components within the box isn't disturbed/opened/altered. I am also wondering why do they open the box?

You can either buy an adapter bar for $15 to $25 to carry the bike like you used to, or just mount it as-is. If you'll be traveling with bikes often, best (but way more expensive) option would be to buy a platform bike rack, especially if you have a hitch already on your vehicle.

It fits on a rack but it fits a little slanted. If you want it straight, then maybe you can get this for $12 https://a.co/d/gGepiWD

You should be able to just release the thin straight tension spring on each side , and the noodle to open the v brakes without loosening any wires.

Checkout this official video from them, somethings might be different as the US version is a little different.

Ya, mine didn't come in that fancy packaging 😂

Anyways, I got this and put it together on Wednesday. Build was super easy, took about 30 minutes from opening the box to done. I bought a more conformable seat to swap, but other than that in using it out of the box and it seems to perfectly suit my needs as a light use trail bike 👍
