After the recent price increases on sets - expect most sets to hit 10-20% discounts quickly - you'll get the initial day 1 gotta have it crowd, then sales drop off pretty hard. Sad part is we all think we are getting a great deal when they go on sale, but really paying the old retail type prices.

That's true. However, there are some sets that never go on sale unless you get lucky and pick them up during clearance at a non-Lego store.
