I think you mean "shill." What makes this a bad deal? The alligator is running $38.40 on Amazon right now. Lion $12. Dinosaur $13. Which I believe is about $64 making this a good deal in comparison. Even if they were all worth about $12-15 then a $40 combo pack isn't a bad price.

While I wouldn't say this is shill post, you really can't use Amazon as a benchmark in this case. Like the other poster mentioned the crocodile is going for 22.5 now at Walmart. The Amazon link is from a 3rd party seller.

I was an early adopter of Amazon and have barely shopped there in the past 2 or 3 years. They use scripts to price match other sites (target, wally) but almost never the first mover on prices (except on prime days). Especially so for Lego, they would routinely sell above MSRP for hot sets (yes - official Amazon.com seller).

Thanks for the feedback. I just used Amazon since it was quick and simple for me on mobile and it was easy to prove that it was a good deal compared to a popular store.

Where do you see that? I only see 2 of the individual sets. This bundle doesn't come up when searching.

Generally popular LEGO pieces go for 10c/piece. So 850 piece LEGO going at $40 - you do the math. Granted, these are not the most popular LEGO sets out there but 5c/piece for LEGO is a pretty good deal.

Price per piece used to be a more reliable indicator but I feel in the smaller sets, Lego inc have been inflating pc counts in the past few years with smaller pieces. Smaller ones do articulate the profile of things better, I'll give it that. But just look at the crocodile you'll realize how many 1x1 pcs there are.

Edit: this is not to dissuade from the deal. Great sets here

As noted above the creators use smaller pieces, but .05 a part is a fair deal. And there is the replay value of making more than one set.

Amazon has two of the sets on sale cheap if you don't want to buy a three pack.

Deal looks to be dead - Walmart is now showing a 3rd party seller for $57.
