Yeah....t-mobile deals not as good as last year.

So, my calculation for two phone 14s this year is:
Phone 1 = $719.99
Phone 2 = $719.99
Taxes $86.40 (6% sales tax)
Total = $1,526.38
Rebate = $630
Total = $896.38

If you assume 3 months of $20 per line plans ($180 total), your total out out pocket for two unlocked iphone 14 is $1076.38 (or $538.19 each).

It's funny that Costco only accept Visa card but the rebate is Master card

No, it doesn't make sense whatsoever, that is why I asked for the source of the 85%. Why, because at least 15% of series 14 buyers (probably much more) will be buying the base 14 alone, even if they already have an ip13. Otherwise, they would have nixed the base model, or will next year. . .and how could they do that?
To me it's like one of those conspiracy theories that sound REASONABLE ENOUGH to be true.

I think it has to do more with how the 14 is a very incremental change from the 13. The 12 was an incremental change from the 11. Via Macrumors, the 12 sold 20% of Q1 and Q2 2021 sales whilst the pro models sold 35%.

While there was a lot of people getting the base 13 in Q1 & Q2 2022 which was 38% compared to the pro models ~30%, because the 13 was a sizable upgrade from the 12 due to the higher storage sizes and battery size.

14 is shipping with the same A15 as the 13 as well as only getting barely 1 more hour of battery. The 12 shipped with the same battery life as the 11.

While the 13 shipped with doubled storage from the 12 and up to 10 more hours of audio playback. For the average user that streams from spotify or apple music TEN WHOLE HOURS MORE is pretty decent.

I can definitely see the 14 not making up very much of the 14 lineup's sales. Maybe not 15%, but definitely nowhere as high as 38% like with the 13.

Battery sizes and lifes are straight from Apple's website.

Do we have 256GB iPhone 14 Pro models eligible in this offer or just 128GB ?

The 13 pro was one of the biggest upgrades in a while with 120hz, macro, and a decent bump in battery life. I had an X main and upgraded to a 12pro and it didnt feel like much an upgrade at all and my battery life was pretty bad. I also had an Xs and 11 as work phones so i pretty much had every generation. 14 pro does add always on display which is one of the few things left to take from the android side. Next would be usb C, and periscope lenses. After that is mainly folding screens.

From the reviews on Youtube, the 13 has the exact same battery life as the 14. The camera is also basically the same unless you want to pixel peeping in extreme cases.

It doesn't make any sense for anyone to buy iPhone 14 at all
So for value conscious people, go with 13 and save $100+ instead of the 14 for basically the same phone
For the ones who wants the best, go with 14 pro or 14 pro max

My guesses for sale figures are:
~8% iPhone 14
~12% iPhone 14 plus
~38% iPhone 14 pro
~42% iPhone 14 pro max

Just picked up a 14 Pro (upgraded from a 13). I agree with many on here - it doesn't make sense to upgrade from the 13 to the 14 unless you can somehow accomplish this for free.

3. Correct
4. Yes!
A. You can only do this at the kiosk, and with phones that are in stock
B. Probably not. I did it with the Essentials plan last year but the kiosk reps will try to get you to upgrade to one of the Magenta plans.
C. None. Nada
One additional question. Will I be able to cancel both the lines after I receive the gift card and make the phones unlocked by calling t mobile Cust service?

I wonder if you can open two new lines for BYOD $300 promo first, then add two more lines for BOGO?
No. I had same question yesterday at Costco. The guy answered: both deals require 3month before receiving rebate. after 3 months, those two new lines are not "new " anymore and not qualified for 630$

Anyone know if the buy on Magenta Max and the $700 offer stack?

I.e can I buy two phones on two lines. Trade in 2 iPhone 11s to get $800 in bill credits each and also get the $700?

Looking to switch

Not impressed with Costco overall. Just let membership lapse because I could usually find everything cheaper elsewhere.
I mean this is just a bold faced lie. Give me one example of a 1:1 comparison (ie - exact items, like cans of Jif PB or Tide detergent) that are cheaper elsewhere. Not "these cucumbers are cheaper at this grocery store".

I've been a Costco member for years and literally just about every brand I buy is cheaper at Costco. Occasionally I'll see a fruit or paper plates might be cheaper somewhere else, but its very rare. One example...I just bought a DeWalt shop-vac @Costco a month or so ago, it was $79.99. The exact same model @Home Depot was $149.

Add in the fact that the gas is usually 20-25 cents cheaper than any gas station around and my membership is usually paid for just in gas savings over the course of the year. I save about $3 with every tank fill up over any other station.

Just stop.

Rebate usually comes after 14 weeks so around 3 and half months of service

Your scenario is ideal. What he is saying can be true as well. Before I had kids, I simply let mine lapsed after second year because:
->I couldn't find items that we could consume within expiry period
->The closest store is located around 20 minutes
So other than occasional chocolates buying, we were not using it(yes, including gas because I literally wasn't willing to drive 20 minutes just to save some money)

Even now after having 2 kids, I am contemplating to let it lapse(this time I have it for around 7 years because of my job in Pleasant Prairie where the Costco was hardly 10 minutes drive and gas is even cheaper in Wisconin overall) because I am relocated to branch where the closest one is now 15 minutes away (and in Illinois in Cook county where gas isn't that cheap overall)
I also got the tire deal as well where you get $150 Off plus free installation

I was addicted to TMobile deals that I had seen initially but those deals are no longer available (from some 3 yeaes now). Now almost every deal is surrounded around adding at least one new line. In 2015-2018, you would get deals without adding new lines(but a trade-in instead)

TLDR: Yes, just because a person isn't finding value in Costco/Sam membership doesn't make him an automatic liar

This deal is lukewarm. They gave a larger GC last year.
Yeah that's what was thinking too. I'm going back in time to get that deal instead.
