This is a very good multimeter, especially at this price. It is larger than average but that wasn't a concern for me. The backlight duration was a bit too short but accuracy was good and a decent set of leads are included. No case IIRC so factor one into your overall cost if that's a must for you.

I picked this up. Thanks for posting OP. I've been waiting for a really great deal on a big brand name meter, but I just couldn't pass this up after watching a few YouTube videos. I guess I can retire my 10-year-old meter I got for FREE from Harbor Freight.

What's with the Q&A section saying the fuse is basically non replaceable and they'll send you a new one within the warranty period?

Thank you! Got it for $16. I'm planning to start replacing light switches and outlets with smart switches. I needed a better multimeter! Now if I could have gotten that soldering station last week, I'd have a nice little hobby electronic setup. I'll keep an eye out and would appreciate recommendations!

Curious, why would you need a multimeter to replace lights and switches with smart switches?

they say and show in the picture there is a 'hard to find non-standard' cylinder fuse inside when you open the back with several screws. they are willing to send you a new unit if the fuse blows within the 36 month warranty period. most likely they are trying to not inconvenience the non-mechincal customer.

I bought this back in SEPT 2020. Great multi-meter.

To measure current, you basically put the meter in-line on a circuit. For example, we wanted to test how much current our car was drawing from the battery when off (troubleshooting repeated dead battery issue). Remove the positive terminal. Put one lead of the MM on the red cable and the other MM lead on the positive post of the battery. The MM is now inline of the circuit and would measure how many mA were drawn when the car was off.

For $16 I'll buy another for sure.

EDIT: the price shows $17.04 for me. It must have gone up a bit?
