Fi.Google is offering select/previous Google Fi Customers: Unlimited Plan Service for Remainder of 2022 for Free w/ Activation of a New Unlimited Plan Account on Google Fi (Up to 6 Lines) when you accept the invitation and apply your unique promo code receive through your email. All lines must transfer (port-in) a number to Google Fi to be eligible.

Based on that and considering the cheaper options available
1) Boost mobile has a $1 sim for a 1 month trial with 5GB data. Note that you do need to provide a credit card for buying, and some jumping through the hoops to get your account number and pin for porting out.

Or you can get the 3 month 15 GB plan from Best Buy for $15; avoids providing a credit card, but you still have to manage the account number and pin.

2) Ting $1 sim from Target (and possibly Best Buy) with $30 credit.

Use a virtual card (if your credit card provides, or if you have service on privacy). Sign up for the flex plan ($10 for UTT + $5 per GB). Wait 1 / 2 days to confirm that the $30 credit is added, if you port out before that's added your credit card may get charged for 1 month. Porting details are available through your online account.
3) H2Owireless offers eSIM and paygo plan with $10 refill; 90 days validity, you need to contact CS to get your port out details.
4) There are some sellers on eBay offering port numbers; prices start at $5 if you're buying multiple (10 or so); or around $8-10 for singles. Haven't tried it, others may be able to comment. On occasion I've also seen members here and on reddit comment that they have numbers available for a price.

​Have never tried to port out from there, so cannot say if it works or if they accept the carrier.
Freedompop used to be another option. Not sure if they still are.
