You can stack the Costco ones 5 high. I doubt the Sterlite could handle more than 2.
The Costco bins you can also buy at Office Depot. Sometimes I get 30% coupons from OD and buy it from them since delivery is free.
i have these red one too at home. stacked two and both broke.
If you are going to store very very light stuff like very light chritsmas decoration then these are ok.

i agree with you that costco are the best at stacking. i have 10 heavy boxes stacked at my storage from past 1 year. no issues to the boxes.
