The 55" A80CJ could've been had for $1K not too long ago. IMHO, a much better deal than the A80CK at $1300

"Better" is completely subjective. Sony and LG OLED TVs use the same OLED panels, which are made by LG. So the display of the TVs are exactly the same between both brands. However, some people say the difference is in image processing. The way Sony processes the images and colors is more appealing to some since they have the expertise from being in the motion picture industry (movies and television - they make a lot of those cameras that film them). Also, people prefer the Sony OLED TVs because they are built sturdier (slightly thicker) than the LGs which are too thin. The Sony also has Google TV which is a very familiar user interface for those people who have Android phones.

Ironically, the LG OLED TVs are better for gaming. They have four HDMI 2.1 ports instead of two compared to the Sony. Users report that the gaming mode with the VRR (variable refresh rate) better suits video games. That being said, you can't go wrong with either TV as they are both excellent.

Not yet, but just ordered an 85" this past weekend. Saw the QN85B at Costco (or whatever their model number is) yesterday and it looked fantastic. I went with Micro LED over OLED due to price and performance. I doubt I could tell the difference given the outstanding picture quality of both.

The LG C2 is the direct competitor to the A80K and both are on sale with the C2 being 50 bucks more expensive, the LG B2 and A1 are not in the same class as the C2 or A80K.

Same deal in store or online. Better to get online as they deliver to inside your home & $20 more to set it up on your furniture with the packaging hauled away.

And then it will be $100 cheaper in January. And then $100 cheaper than that in March. Then $100 cheaper than that in May.

Then you'll be here again in June saying that you don't want the 2022 model cuz the 2023 models are out, but you're waiting till BF when it's $100 cheaper.

Rinse and repeat.
The equivalent model of other retailers is A80K. Sony and many manufacturers create model number specific for club houses, so other retailers have reason not to pricematch
Never had to file a claim with them for a TV. However, I had to file a claim on my Sony RX10 IV camera back in March. It was purchased for $1599 from Amazon.com. I purchased the Allstate 4-year coverage for $170 at the same time. At the time I filed the claim, the 4-year plan had less than 1 year remaining. I called Allstate and explained the problem to them(the lens would extend but refused to focus, no matter what)

The camera was shipped to Allstate. Two days after it arrived at their facility, they called me and said that they would not repair it. Instead, they would send me a check for the purchase price shown on the original Amazon invoice($1599). The check arrived in about 4 or 5 days.

Needless to say, I was impressed. Unfortunately, I still have the $1599 and can't find a replacement camera. Sony somehow decided not to make a new updated version of this excellent camera and I didn't want to buy an identical RX10 IV.(it originally came out in 2017). Frown

No, already tried it, and must before purchase! BB will not price match Costco, if it's bundle with warranty, will not price match Walmart 3rd party seller.
