Wouldn't this screw up your swing if you're always practicing with a ball that is 1-2 inches above your foot level?

Have a lot of these I wind up just using the regular fairway mat. The others don't really simulate the rough etc well

These things tear up pretty easily and are too small. You can go to your local driving range and they will typically resell their old full-size mats for about $10 - $20. Yes, they have areas of wear, but you can find some good ones. Of course, YMMV.

This doesn't even seem like a deal. I got the same thing a few years ago for considerably cheaper, and I gave up on using it. As another person pointed out, hitting a couple of inches above where your feet are is likely to just create bad swing habits.. I actually made my own platform with turf on top of wood to hit off of in the backyard.

On a course, even tee boxes, the ball is probably rarely level with your feet.
