Thinking about getting the tiny 100 lumen light or the 300 lumen light for every day carry.
Not for a weapon in case anyone is wondering, just as a tool, like a pocket knife.
It's enormous for aaa, and mushy activation, not good edc. Its like they engineered a management typo.

No warranty on Eveready flashlights. I bought a few USB rechargeable X400. Looks nice but complete junk. A match puts out more light. The battery is sealed inside. Sofirn has the best in low cost with cheap replaceable generic Li-Ion. High speed Type C recharging on the newer models. Good reflectors and a choice of led's.

Bought both types headlamps last deal. Set of 2 AAAx3 and set of rechargeables. I was actually pretty surprised at the bright crisp white light the rechargeables put out. For simple lightweight headlamps they are fairly decent quality and a good deal at this price. The non rechargeable ones .. ehhh.

We use headlamps most every day (hobbies, diy, country life in general, so I've got a plethora of styles from huge multi-led style w on12 settings to simple. Even got the new indicative ones (wave on/wave off feature .. btw, it sounded like a great idea... Not so much lol. Turns out they interprete anything as a hand wave.. ). Olight flashlight from a deal last Christmas made me realize that the spectrum matters more than the brightness/lumens.. Everything looked so sharply defined! Tried taking pics w diff types and the diff is astonishing.

Note: Regarding the single AA $6 clip flashlight.

SD'ers beware... I own 2 of these, and after a little bit of use you have to bang them on something hard to turn on. Also there is some kind of low voltage cutoff, and don't turn on easily after recent use if the battery is low.... but of course YMMV.
I'm very happy with the Sofirn sc18, unlike other gadgets I think I'm set as far as clip lights.

I've bought way too many Energizer flashlights and headlamps thanks to Navy-Wife. LMAO

After playing with them, I have to say that the Energizer LED Rechargeable Pro Ultra Bright Headlamp [amazon.com] is my favorite headlamp for the price (with 50% off coupon, of course). It's bright, lightweight, comfortable, doesn't get hot, and has lots of useful modes including spot, flood, red, and green to preserve your night vision. One undocumented feature is the ability to ramp the brightness of the primary LEDs by holding down the power button, and you can even ramp it to greater brightness than the preset high setting. Here are a couple of videos for the green version of this light (but the specs & features are the same) that I found helpful in answering a lot of questions I had about the headlamp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOI7zzzoSLM

By the way, I also bought the 18650 headlamp [amazon.com] when it had the coupon, and while it's a nice light, it is much heavier (due to the metal construction and bigger battery) and the beam is flood only so it doesn't throw very far for activities like biking.

And just to note, I'm an amateur budget flashlight enthusiast (so take everything I say with a grain of salt) and don't have any personal experience with headlamps from other brands like Sofirn and high end flashlight manufacturers. I'm sure they make lights that will blow these cheap Energizer lights out of the water, but I don't think they offer anything comparable at the same price point, especially with these coupon deals.

Hopes this helps someone.

FYI: DO NOT BUY the, "camping lantern w/ tent fan".

I bought it earlier this month on the last round of deals. I work on airplane wings and need small, rechargeable light sources. The two headlamps that detach like mini flashlights are good so I figured the lamp/fan combo was made for me (being in tight, dark, confined spaces, this seemed like a no brainer. I was wrong.

I got to work with the lamp on a full charge. Turned it on and it was great at spreading light but only lasted about 30-45 minutes on medium light mode without even running the fan. That basically made it worthless because it takes hours to charge back up. Even still, I figured I would hang on to it for random scenarios that it may come in handy. I had it fully charged at work, unplugged it to plug in a head lamp and came back the next day. When I grabbed this lamp and went to turn it on, the battery status was already at 75% (3/4 lights). It was off all night.

From a battery company, this product was one of the cheapest jokes I've seen as far as battery life. It would be great if you want to connect a portable battery pack to it all the time but who wants to do that with a camping lamp/fan.

It's too much hassle to send it back but it is definitely a waste of $13. Avoid
Maybe you got a little used or defective piece. My wife has been using this when she goes to pick up my son from school while waiting in car pool lane. The fan light lasts atleast 3-4 days with full speed fan. Happy wife happy life! I have tried to use it few times and it does its job. No issues so far.

Interesting. Maybe I did get an old unit. I appreciate the feedback. It makes me tempted to try another one out but don't want to be stuck with two if the second is also a dud

I purchased the green head lamp sometime ago from Energizer and very disappointed with the battery life. Too late to do anything about it
