Actual runners know not to touch this brand at all. From the reviews I read, only the cloudmonster is acceptable as a running shoe. I would say that they look dope and I would wear them as casual shoes, if I wasn't going to be on my feet for too long.

People who claim that this shoe is soft and comfy are objectively wrong, and probably haven't ever tried a shoe with soft cushioning. Here is a google spreadsheet [google.com] of RunRepeat's midsole softness measurements. Lower is softer. As you can see, the softest On shoe is below the median softness, and On literally has the most firm measured running shoe on record. I know this particular style isn't exactly on the spreadsheet, but when everyone says the cloudmonster is On's softest midsole to date, that's not promising.

Additionally, the runningshoegeeks subreddit pretty much universally pans the On brand for running. Just go there and search the term "cloud". Some indifference around the cloudmonster and universally terrible reviews for every other on shoe

If you're on your feet all day, you can just fall for the medical community's hype around Hokas. Personally, I like brands that don't rely 100% on marketing and actually put out a good product. Brands like Saucony, New Balance, and Asics have some of the best tech in 2022, but they're certainly not your tech bro shoes of choice.

Recommendations: Check out Saucony Triumph 19/20, New Balance Fresh Foam More v3/v4, Asics Novablast 2/3 instead.

I need to dump on these sneakers. OnClouds LOOK amazing but I have not found their quality to be very good. Also, the design of the soles is EXCELLENT at picking up gravel. If you walk or run over any kind of gravel, the soles pinch, grab, and retain gravel in a really annoying design flaw.

I have a Triumph 19, Endorphin speed 2 and NB 1080 v12. I have also tried the Novablast 2. Out of all the shoes, the Novablast felt the softest because of the thick flytefoam under it. I returned it because it did not feel very stable when running. My legs got more tired. It was too cushioned for me. I agree thay if you want good running shoes, then check out Asics, Saucony and New Balance. The Endorphin speed 2 is my favorite out of all. Boy, that is one fun shoe. It's light and makes me run faster.

I havent tried on cloud shoes so I may try this as well.

Brooks or nothing for me. Had 5 pairs of OC and sold every last one after I tried Brooks.

YMMV however.

Also my experience. Shoes fall apart quickly. Relatively uncomfortable. But customer support is good. Sent me a replacement pair.

How would this compare to adidas ultaboost or adidas 4D in terms of quality, durability and comfort ? I have noticed more and more people wearing this.

Yeah I guess the Novablast 2 might not be a great recommendation because it's a bit unstable. The Novablast 3 fixes some of the stability issues though.

I also should've clarified that the recommendations are for non-runners as alternatives to these On's. I love the speed 2's but I can't imagine the heel instability being good for walking/standing.

I almost bought the cloudflow tonight, but after reading reviews it looks like it's more for heel strikers. The helion foam which is the softer foam is only located at the back of the shoe. The cloud x looks interesting.

I've been dealing with heel pain for some time now and between oofos in my house and a combo of cloud and Hoka Bondis that pain is gone. I go for the clouds over the hokas most times, while it doesn't feel softer to me when I put the on I don't notice any pain after taking them off. Only had them 4 months or so and wear the casually, not running. I just ordered 4 pairs and will return whatever doesn't fit. Wide feet with short toes
