I bought one and a plate falls out so I have to use velcro bands to keep it from knocking a tooth out during push presses. Do not purchase.

Bands have their place, but the resistance is proportional to the distance travelled. Weights don't have that limitation. A 20 lb weight weighs the same 2 inches off your chest vs 2 feet. Weights are much, much more versatile imho. I work out daily as many people do and use both weights and bands in my workout routine but one does not replace the other.

Excellent deal but takes forever to ship, last time it was on sale ordered one 3 weeks later got email from Walmart order delayed I guess they ship it from China but I canceled it.

This are great.. but careful as it slips off at times and some have reported the plastic holding them in place breaks. So far so good with me at least.

that set is made of cement with a pvc coating. drop them hard and the cement will come out
they also take a lot more room
I would have bought the adjustable set, but over the last 2 years using SD I already got a bunch of individual dumbells

I like both as well. Just saying in an apartment or home with limited space bands work amazing. Also, resistance being proportional is what makes bands great. Want it harder increase distance (or double up the band or choke up on the band), want it easier decrease the distance.

This is a great resource for band workouts. he actually has videos where he takes big guys in gyms and puts them through band workouts, hilarious to see the reactions.
