Better pricing. With the recent ETH transitioning to POS, most GPU miners stopped being profitable. Hence, the market will soon be flooded with used miner videocards, and that will bring the new cards prices down.

Back in 2018, the amount of GPUs on the market didn't sell too well because there were a lot of used cards to go around and purchase. That mining craze of 2016 - 2017 lasted approximately a year. This time is different, it lasted nearly 2 years of miners buying up all inventory. You hear talk of shortage when miners gobbled up any card before it reached shelves. Think, each miner probably owns more than a dozen GPUs. Now the vendors and the market have to sell new GPUs at retail MSRP prices against used cards. It's hard for a high end expensive card like this 6900XT to even sell at $200 below MSRP when it's against used cards in the market for less than half the price new. Why pay $900 for a 3090 when you can get a used 3090 for $450 or $400. A 6900XT used at $400 gives more bang for buck than any of the high end cards $750 or more. Vendors and manufacturers can only hold inventory for so long and have to slash prices to move them out of warehouses while taking heavy loses.
It's not getting closer. It's staying the same because they released prices for the new cards and they're extremely expensive.
On another note, this will not play fortnite well. It handles Cyberpunk, Warzone and Forza pretty well on ultra but even on performance mode Fortnite is terrible. I'm sure it has to do with drivers but any of the last 3 driver releases all suck. Also should be noted that this will stutter if you use the Radeon instant replay feature. Not sure if I got a bad card (it passes all benchmarks and stress tests and easily auto OCs to 2541mhz) but overall I'd say I'm disappointed. Maybe Nvidia is better but you're still paying a hundred bucks more for a comparable card
This is my biggest fear switching to AMD Gpus. Poor drivers and not being able to play my games with the limited time I have.
