I've used this same scale for years for baking, etc so I'd say it's about as accurate as needed for kitchen use. I find they only last 2-3 years before the button starts to fail, but at $4 it was a no-brainer to purchase a back-up.

That said a kitchen scale is super helpful to have in your kitchen, particularly for baking
