It provides reliable power. They don't want anything like THAT there!

I got the dual-fuel version of this generator several months ago when the price dropped. The quality is much higher than I was expecting, definitely worth the price. One thing to note is that these are heavy, I believe over 100lbs, so you're not going to be lugging it around a lot and lifting it into and out of a truck without help.

Wheel kit this comes with made a huge difference.

I got 4500W version with out kit. It's 212 CC. I was looking little bit more power when my appliances kick on needs some more power. This is with wheel kit and electric start. It's good generator I have 2 and use everyday since April 6-8 hours. With no issue. One had problem but customer service send me label and as soon as I put it in mail they ship me another one. Happy with it. Maybe sell my 2 and get this 223 CC version with kit and electric start. What I have I can lift it hardly and move around but this with wheel kit one probably you will need help.

Champion has much cleaner power, and will last longer.
I've had my Wen 3500 120v/240v for just over 10 years now, and granted I don't use it much (the rare extended power outage), it never fails to start on the first or 2nd pull, and the output is clean enough that it doesn't trip my UPS / AVR. Feed it fresh gas, give it a bit of TLC now and then & change oil as recommended, and it will serve you well.

I'm looking at something for an emergency power outage solution only. I'd be plugging in a 12k BTU portable AC and a small dorm size fridge so we can hunker down in our attached mother-in-law suite during power outages.

Can a power strip of some sort be used with generators? According to the online Generator Size Calculators I'd still be well under it's operating and startup limits. I'm just not sure if each outlet on the generator is only rated for a certain amount of draw or whatnot. I'd like to run a box fan to spread the AC a bit more effectively and I see only the two 110 outlets on the generator. I'd unplug the fridge and AC when using our hotplate.

We've got a Wen dual fuel, very similar specs to this one. Just had to pull it out to run the fridge for a few hours during an outage, no muss no fuss. Worth it at this price if you need it.

I've heard that many Wen are made by generac. I know that the generac GP2200i for example has an exact copy with Wen branding . Personally I'll wait until we are well past hurricane season to strike on a better sale.
Thanks for this. I have a similar generac inverter and was considering getting a second and wondering about the wen. No idea about paralleling, but this is extremely good to know.

The Westinghouse some one posted looks as if it will ship. And the Wen purchased from Target looks like they will also ship to Cal.

I have used power strips before with no issues. And a generator will step down to the power that is needed power Watts I mean
